Is there a way to mind lock brawling as a empath, other than in a class of course?

Circle, Bob, Weave in any creature

Or any brawling attack maneuver in construct creatures.

Parrying with a parry stick also teaches a little brawling, though not enough to mind lock brawling on its own.

If you're just starting out circle/bob/weave won't teach too quickly, but keep at it and you'll eventually get to the point where you will lock.

Ahhh ok I was circle bob weaving and learning slowly, I'll stick with it thanks for the responses.

If you have 10-15 ranks or so, you can go down to shard and actually attack boggles for your first 50 ranks.
