I wonder if the spells inspiration was from the Delphae, as told in "The Shining Ones" by David Eddings

If it's giving me additional shock, it's not much. I've killed living things and i can still heal normally.

and no damage to the hands on casting.

What happens if you pick your nose while it's active.

Uzmam! The Chairman will NOT be pleased to know you're trying to build outside of approved zones. I'd hate for you to be charged the taxes needed to have this place re-zoned. Head for the manor if you're feeling creative.

Whelp, adding that to the reading list. I vaguely remember there being discussion about corrupting Empathy links and it's ties to Thanatology, so I'm really curious to see more about this!

take that back, it does give hand injuries.

You have minor swelling and bruising around the right hand, minor swelling and bruising around the left hand.

The arthritis!

I wonder if the wounds get worse over time, as you continue touching stuff, or what. Also, is the TOUCH affected by whether or not you're holding something in the hand? Both hands?

TOUCH CRITTER

You shmear your bloody stump of a right hand across the critters face, and it recoils in abject disgust.

Recommend starting with book one in the series "Domes of Fire", as "The Shining Ones" is book two, and finishing with the conclusion "The Hidden City" book three.

<<Your empathic shock makes the spell slightly more pliable.

This line makes me wonder if the spell becomes more effective the more shock you have. Or more precisely, is less penalized the more shock you have, much like an inverse version of how teleologic corruption affects the prediction-based spells.

O.o

Man, that would be awesome.

I'd considered the very same thing, and I intend on becoming very shocked this evening testing that theory.
