You can't do that.

It would be neat if you could use the Dance command to dance within and around a moonbeam, with different messaging for a visible moonbeam vs invisible moonbeam. It would be even better if you could use all the Dance command emotes with a focused moonbeam.

What messaging do you think it would say if someone DANCE MOONBEAM?

Perhaps something like this?

You see: As you dance in the moonbeam, this creates many colorful motes of light dancing off your skin.

Others see: As <name> dances in the moonlight, colorful shades of light dance of their skin, making an eerie glow.

I don't think they're meant to be danced around or messed with like a physical object. The bridge between two points of probability is what gives a moongate at least some substance (see Aaoskar's e-pedia page for links on that, and I'm sure it's somewhere here on the forums too) but a moonbeam is just light, or, in Katamba's case, shadows.

Small request - if anybody feels like they absolutely must add new verbs to interact with moonbeams, can you please make sure there's a roleplay element included in the rollout? I'm still a bit perplexed at how some major game-changing releases go live without one iota of roleplay, e.g. enchanting.

Dance moonbeam as a non-Moon Mage (while the focused beam is visible):

*others see*:
(Xibar moonbeam): Non-Moon Mage dances with squinting eyes through the silvery blue-white Xibarine moonlight.
(Katamba moonbeam): Non-Moon Mage dances into the inky pool of shadows; his/her feet vanishing for moments in it's inscrutable depths.
(Yavash moonbeam): Non-Moon Mage dances within the incandescent moonlight but is not burned by Yavash's focused flames.

*you see*:
Blue-white tracers threaten to blind you as you dance within the focused light of Xibar.
As you dance within the oozing pool of shadows you nervously wonder if your feet will be whole when you step out.
Yavash's incarnadine flames play across your form without burning as you dance within the moonlight.

Dance moonbeam as a non-Moon Mage (while any focused beams are invisible and in the case of no focused moonbeams in the room)
*others see*:
You blindly dance around, cavorting wildly to and fro, eyes darting in desperate search of an invisible partner.
*you see*:
Chasing perceived light which seemingly glints just beyond the corners of your eyes you vainly dance within imaginary moonlight.

Don't the moonbeams fade? Only moon mages can "perceive moonbeam" to see if there are beams in the area. Other's should see...
