The original Premium Rewards system did have tiered benefits like that, but people kept saying, "What if we really like Year4 benefit, and don't care about the Year5 (or Year6 or whatever)? Can we get another one of those?"
So they switched to doing it by points, instead, and let people choose.

And yes, for "continuous customer" bonus, I could get behind something like "an extra point (Seed 1) per month, resetting after 1 year".
(== +78 free points for a year, so not even a month, total.)

I don't really see a need for it, since they've already done (8 months ago?) the daily login bonuses and recently the SimuCoin monthly rebates, but a little more extra is a little more extra, so if it were to happen I wouldn't squawk, either.

We're already giving out a lot more than we ever have. A player who stays 12 months out of the year, compared to someone who maybe stays 3 months a year, is already getting 9 months more SimuCoins Rewards. Given the exchange rate, if we boosted +5 or +10 per month, I doubt it would be much incentive for someone to stay on for 3 to 7 cents extra that month. It would just be a bigger boost for those that keep their accounts opened.

A yearly bonus beyond year 1 might be something we can think about.

In about six more weeks, I'll retroactively qualify for 4 of the 5-year, 2 of the 10-year, and one of the 20-year tiered benefits.
It would have been only about 2-3 weeks out, but I was hiking Philmont at the time we went live, so I couldn't actually switch from Genie to the web until then. :(

I know that some of the previous PMs have done commemorative things like the spider charms (move to the web) and the silver chrysalis (Butterfly Festival) and other suchlike, that just "popped" on characters when they logged in.
(Some were pretty minimal [you opened the chrysalis, you got a random butterfly] while others were somewhat mechanical [spider charms with their verb traps and different capabilities].)

Got anything planned for the big "Twenty Years On The Web" anniversary coming up next month?

If not, why not? :)
